In This Class, You'll Learn:
People are fascinated by abstract faces, even those that are weird, scary and funny. We will work with images that you bring in or from the many I will bring with me.
The purpose is to become familiar with the basic parts of the face so that you can "break" them and put them back together in unique ways.
In this class, students will:
1. learn the basic planes of the face using an Asaro mannequin head
2. distort the face and make something unique.
3. learn basic drawing skills of the head
Students will walk away with 2-5 images that are straight from their imagination. -

About the Instructor
Shirin Nikoukari
I started painting when I was young. I moved to the United States in my 20's and mix my Persian culture with my abstract inspirations. The pomegranate is a sacred symbol for me and often shows in my work as well as Persian Calligraphy. As I have evolved, my work has become more abstract.
