We have a private back parking lot behind the building that is accessible via the alley off of either Meade or Monroe. It can accommodate up to 16 vehicles.
We encourage students to arrive 15-20 minutes early to secure a spot in the back and to pull into the furthest spot possible and avoid blocking off empty slots. Parking is a precious commodity in this area and we want to make as much room for as many students and studio artists as we possibly can in our private lot.
If you know that you need to leave early, we *highly recommend* parking on the street so not to disrupt several students to move their cars in the middle of class. However, if someone has an emergency that comes up in the middle of class, we have found that people are understanding and will accommodate for such a circumstance.
2-Hr Street Parking
Some street parking locations have a 2-hour time limit Monday-Saturday (except for major holidays) and ticketing is enforced.
Be sure to double check the nearest sign to where you parked for time allowance info.
Two areas we recommend that are not timed are the *opposite side* of the street from our building on 30th, and the slotted spaces on Kansas.
Street Sweeping Days
We are located in a Monday and Tuesday street sweeping area. This means that every 2nd and 4th Monday and Tuesday, some street parking locations are off limits from 10am-1pm and ticketing is enforced during these times.
Students who are taking a class on Mondays or Tuesdays will want to check out the map below to see which areas to avoid during street sweeping.
