Tuesday PM Class

  • In This Class, You'll Learn:

    In this course, we will focus on how to work from a photo, color mixing, brush techniques, layering, and using the materials.

    Topics Covered:

    • how to find the perfect subject to paint
    • techniques for better composition
    • editing tips
    • how to manage the amount of time it takes to paint your piece
    • how to apply "the finishing touches"

      Students will receive positive feedback and lots of 1-on-1 guidance from the instructor. You'll walk away with confidence and a greater understanding of the watercolor medium—plus, a beautiful painting to hang at home.

      If you're wanting to repeat this class and take it again, you'll enjoy new perspectives and lessons by one of our three rotating instructors. They are also capable of helping returning students to grow with more Level 2 techniques and feedback.

Stephanie Henry

Stephanie Henry is an award winning artist whose love for animals and portraiture have found the perfect fit. She often says that she draws love, as her work strives to capture the love between people and their pets. For her, capturing this love on canvas or paper is more than just a job. It's a calling, a way to spread joy and happinessthrough her art.

She believes that the love we share with our pets is one of the purest forms of love there is, and that by highlighting this connection in her work, she can help bring people closer together. Whether it's a loyal dog, a mischievous cat, or any other kind of pet, she sees the beauty in every animal and strives to showcase that beauty in her art. Her work is a celebration of the love that exists between all living creatures, and a reminder of the joy that can be found in even the simplest moments of life.

Tracie Fearing

With over 30 years of experience, Tracie Fearing is a seasoned muralist and artist specializing in scenic botanicals with a whimsical feel. She holds a BFA in Illustration from Laguna College of Art & Design and an MA in Modern Art History and Criticism. Tracie's work is inspired by diverse influences, blending traditional techniques with contemporary flair. Aside from her artistic endeavors, Tracie has taught Visual Art at the High School level and served as an Art History professor. She actively participates in community projects, including volunteering with Habitat for Humanity. Tracie's ongoing projects span Orange County, Los Angeles, and Old Town San Diego, where she aims to create immersive experiences spark delight through her art.
